Philipp Eissler and Joscha Brettschneider fell in love with the guitar at an early age and enjoyed this enthusiasm both solo and in many bands.

They met as a duo in 2014 and have been operating under the name BRTHR ever since.

Their style is an understated mixture of folk, Americana and gospel with the nonchalance of a JJ Cale and the powerful extravagance of His Golden Messenger, who does not hesitate to use drum computers and home organs, and who breaks up the formation of the duo with fellow musicians when necessary.
